| I have decided to move my blog. Don't be alarmed or upset, I will still post regularly. I wanted to have more control on my blog as well as to have it a concurrent part of my website. So, if you want to keep up please bookmark my new blog, http://www.jasonwallis.com/blog. I have had several people not members of the Xanga community that wanted to post comments, this new blog will allow that. Also it will allow RSS feeds, which I really have no idea what that means, other than it might allow some kind of subscription if I ever figure it all out. The new website is nearing completion and this is the prelude to that. Hopefully we are not too far off, and it will be announced and revealed on the new blog. This one will stay here for a while so that anyone that is new to my work can return here to see all of the archived entries. So, please take a look at the new one and post a comment since ANYONE can! | | |
| We have alot of vintage posters decorating our home. A few years ago Heather and I chaparoned a trip of 9th graders to Europe. We had a blast. I affectionately became known as "Tripod Man" because I took my camera and tripod everywhere we went on that trip. Heather became very enamored with the Eiffel Tower while there, and since I have never seen what we wanted, I made my own poster. I don't think I will go into poster or printmaking, but this was a fun project. I had it printed on canvas as a 30 by 40 inch print. It should come in soon, maybe I will post a picture of my pictures on my wall.

| One of the reasons my posts have been a bit erratic is my business. The other is the fact that all of my family has been sick. This is the current reality of my home right now!

| This season is really busy, and I am very thankful for it. I have recently been made aware that this is the most popular section of my site! I am honored that you, reading this now, would take the time to look through so many pictures. I love what I do, and am glad that it provides something positive to society. Here are some recent family sessions.
I went to school with Julie and Drew at Samford. It is so cool to see kids of people my age and how similar kids are at that age! We had a great time with them and their kids, Linden and Philip. I think Linden and my daughter Kalin would be fast friends!

I met the Taskers on a shoot with Portico. I ended up photographing Anne Maison while shooting their home for Portico, and they have become regular clients! This was actually shot in a park in downtown Birmingham, how cool is this city...

I don't know that I have smiled so much as I did while editing this session. The Hackbarths actually went to school with me as well, although I didn't know them there. They have so much fun! We had a great time, and there were so many pictures that reminded me of wrestling with my dad. I just wish I had those pictures.

I have so many mutual friends with the Oakmans, including my brother who works with Mike. I never have seen my brother as a high powered exec, but apparently he is a rising star in his company. That aside, the Oakmans were a ton of fun, those boys have so much energy and we had a great time!
